2019 Readers' Cup - Southern Region Planning Meeting

March 12 @ 4pm

Friends’ School High School Campus (Commercial Road, North Hobart)

The main purpose of this meeting will be to confirm dates for the competitions and select the books that will be used for both the primary and secondary divisions.

Interested teachers and library staff are most welcome to attend this meeting.

This is a combined event for CBCA members & the North West Library Network & Devonport Community

Please bring any of the Short List /Notable books you have in your library and come prepared to share your favourites

Please consider:

 Reflections on the literary qualities of the book

 Suggestions for using the books with primary and secondary students

2017 Book of the Year celebrations

CBCA Tasmania is delighted to have hosted the 2017 Book of the Year Awards.  The awards were celebrated at Government House Tasmania at 12 noon on Friday, August 18, hosted by our patrons, Her Excellency the Honourable Kate Warner and Mr Richard Warner.  The celebrations continued with a Gala Dinner and the presentation of the Nan Chauncy Award to Mem Fox, who gave a memorable acceptance speech.  For photos and further information, see our blog post about the Awards day.
