2019 Readers' Cup - Southern Primary and Secondary

Entries are open and close April 8

Secondary: Tuesday June 18 @ Dominic College

Primary: Wednesday June 19 @ The Friends' School

Special Offer: Each school that registers for Readers Cup is entitled to a set of the titles (1 of each picture book; 2 of each novel) purchased via Hobart Bookshop.

This is as a result of Federal Government and Department of Education Grant.

Short List & Notables Discussion: March 28 @ 4pm State Library Devonport

This is a combined event for CBCA members & the North West Library Network & Devonport Community

Please bring any of the Short List /Notable books you have in your library and come prepared to share your favourites

Please consider:

 Reflections on the literary qualities of the book

 Suggestions for using the books with primary and secondary students

2017 Book of the Year celebrations

CBCA Tasmania is delighted to have hosted the 2017 Book of the Year Awards.  The awards were celebrated at Government House Tasmania at 12 noon on Friday, August 18, hosted by our patrons, Her Excellency the Honourable Kate Warner and Mr Richard Warner.  The celebrations continued with a Gala Dinner and the presentation of the Nan Chauncy Award to Mem Fox, who gave a memorable acceptance speech.  For photos and further information, see our blog post about the Awards day.
