Membership
We'd love you to join!
Membership of the CBCA is open to any person, family, school, library, or similar organisation.
Download a membership application now.
It's a .pdf file which you can print and fill in. You can then post it to us with your cheque. Or you can pay electronically and tell us the receipt number on your completed form, which can be posted or faxed to us.
If you're a teacher or teacher librarian your school might consider paying your annual subscription. It's a good deal for the school because they're supporting someone who will become even better able to keep everyone in their school up to scratch with Book Week and the CBCA Awards.
How much does it cost?
$35.00 each calendar year for individual membership, $70.00 for institutional membership, or $20.00 if you are a student, pensioner or unemployed.
What sort of activities do you have?
Author events and celebrations, judge's talks, read ins, barbecues, general meetings, after work drinks...

Constitution
The Children's Book Council of Australia (Tasmanian Branch) Incorporated Constitution has been registered. Read it here.
The Children's Book Council of Australia works to improve the quality of children's books through the Children's Book of the Year Awards which recognise and publicise the best of Australian literature for children.
We aim to foster children's enjoyment of books through:
- Participating in the Children's Book of the Year Awards.
- Providing information on and encouragement to authors and illustrators.
- Organising exhibitions and activities during Children's Book Week.
- Supporting children's library services.
- Promoting high standards in book reviewing.
